1988 Catalina 34 WK TR Westbrook CT

The "SOUND VENTURE" is a nice, well-maintained CATALINA 34 with both the desirable Wing Keel (WK) underbody that has a 3'10" draft and the optional Tall Rig (TR) features. She is a 1988 model & was delivered to her first Owners for that Season. With her exceptionally effective layout that features a light, roomy interior & large Forward & Aft Cabins, the big cockpit also served to make the CATALINA 34 one of the most popular yachts of her type for many years. In fact, over 1400 CATALNA 34's were produced from 1985 onwards!
The Owners have been diligent in taking good care of their "SOUND VENTURE". Just some of the updates include new Bimini (2012) SUNBRELLA canvas, hot water heater (2013), HOOD Roller Furler (2013), engine alternator (2013), engine start battery (2014), SUNBRELLA UV tabling cover for the 155% Genoa (2014), engine raw (seawater) pump (2015), fuel pump (2015) & a new engine water pump (2015).  In addition, her bottom paint was stripped and epoxy barrier undercoat applied (2012).  The performance electronics include (3) newer DMI electronics (replacement DATAMARINE) units with a new depth-sounder transducer (2014) and with DMI Speed /Log & Wind (AWI  / WS) functions. These DMI's are mounted in EDSON pods at the Helm Station. Her custom FAIRCLOUGH canvas winter cover offers good protection for this investment in the off-Season as well.
